There were smiles aplenty as our youngest pupils in the School showed their moves at a fancy dress Zumba extravaganza in aid of charity yesterday.
Year 7 and 8 pupils in Austin House got into the spirit by dressing up in an array of costumes and dancing to the music as a visiting Zumba instructor put them through their paces.
This was one of a number of initiatives by Austin House to raise money for Lepra, a UK-based international charity that is working to beat leprosy, a disease that still affects millions of vulnerable people across the world. The charity works overseas in India, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe and to improve the lives of those affected by leprosy. They have been fighting disease since 1924 and are one of the world’s leading authorities on leprosy.
