Worth’s equestrian team competed in their first national inter-school event of the year earlier in this month, with two pupils taking part in the show jumping competition.

Tom took to the arena first on his pony Pebbles in the 90-95cm show jumping class and although he did not place on this occasion he performed well. Next up was Libby in her first 70-75cm discipline and with four faults she just missed out on a placing with her new horse Alfie.

National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) inter-school events are held throughout the year, from local events to annual national championships. Disciplines include dressage, show jumping, one-day eventing and arena eventing. Worth pupils with an interest in these disciplines are encouraged to join the Worth equestrian team with the opportunity to compete in these events.
