Worth Maths teacher Mrs Jayne Dempster will finally be taking part in a tandem skydive this weekend to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of a former colleague.
After an initial delay due to coronavirus restrictions, Mrs Dempster will be taking the plunge this coming Saturday (1 May) in Salisbury. Fellow Maths teacher Mr Gordon Perera was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in February 2018 and continued to work at Worth until his death in September 2020. Mrs Dempster said: “There are people you meet in life who you know you will never forget. I only knew Gordon for three years, but his positivity and gratitude will live with me for ever.”
The dive will also mark a special birthday for Mrs Dempster. If you feel you are able to sponsor her, please go to: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jayne-dempster
