Worth School

Worth’s holistic education has been praised in our second set of 2026 A Level case studies with one student saying: “At Worth I made new friends, was able to develop my leadership skills and practice values that will stay with me throughout my life.”

The School’s learning facilities, including our Sixth Form centre called the Spencer Building, and our teachers going beyond what may be expected of them to help students have also been also commended in our latest article reflecting on this summer’s A Level success stories.

We asked three students about their results, how Worth helped them, their time at the School and their plans for the future. Read on to hear what they had to say.

MATVII BOHACHEVYCH

Which subjects did you take and what were your results? I studied Maths, Chemistry and Physics, in the end receiving A*AA with A* being in Maths.

How did you feel when you got your results? I was opening my results already knowing that I made it into my first choice, so I wasn’t as stressed as some of my peers. I felt really proud of my A* in Maths as I didn’t think I would get it and a bit disappointed with Physics. Still, I was really happy knowing that all the hard work had paid off.

How did Worth help you achieve those results? I received a lot of support from all my teachers, especially in the final months before the exam season. They were all very supportive and were happy to answer any questions and explain all small bits of the course, whether in revision sessions or 1-on-1, which helped me to achieve the top grades. I also want to mention that Worth provided a quality place to study which really helped me as it was always quiet and you were welcome there any day of the week.

How much have you enjoyed your time at Worth? I joined Worth at the end of Year 9, although it took me a while to adjust, I still enjoyed it very much. At Worth I made new friends, was able to develop my leadership skills and practice values that will stay with me throughout my life. I liked playing new sports and trying out different activities. I made lifelong memories which I will cherish forever.

What are you hoping to do next? I will be going to the University of Bath to study to become an engineer, where I hope to make new friends and find new hobbies. In the future, I hope to become a chartered civil engineer and make a positive impact on the world.

The availability of the Spencer Building also helped me revise more effectively.

How much have you enjoyed your time at Worth? I joined in Year 9 and thoroughly enjoyed my entire time at Worth. A huge part of that was through taking part in sport and getting involved in house competitions.

What are you hoping to do next? My next step is studying Biology at the University of Warwick.

Which subjects did you take and what were your results? I took English, Drama and Psychology, achieving A* A B

How did you feel when you got your results? When I opened my results, I was genuinely surprised because I didn’t think that they had went that well. Seeing that my hard work had paid off felt extremely rewarding as I comfortably met my university offer.

How did Worth help you achieve those results? Worth played a central role in my results for multiple reasons. I found that constantly being around my friends helped to ease the pressure of exams. It allowed for a much-needed balance of work and life outside of school.

How much have you enjoyed your time at Worth? I joined Worth in Year 7, only appreciating how much I enjoyed the School now that I have left. I made friends that surpass regular school-based friendships since we’re still all close despite leaving the School. Worth helped me academically but more importantly socially through countless activities like sports.

What are you hoping to do next? After enjoying the summer break, I am now starting university at York where I am studying Law.
