Worth staff to the rescue

Worth is known for being a caring community, looking after others and ready to lend a hand when called upon. Those values were evident in abundance last week when staff stepped in to successfully rescue a distressed deer.

Mr Dan Weaver, Head of Design and Technology, was walking across the sports pitches during a break last Friday when he came across a deer which had become caught up in a football net. He immediately called Building and Maintenance Team Leader Mr Mark Buckingham who got a team together to assist in the rescue. Between them, they released the deer who seemed fine despite its ordeal and was able to run off.

These pictures show the rescue team in action. Well done all involved.
