Worth School prefects 2025-26

Congratulations to all students who have been awarded prefect roles for the 2025-26 academic year.

Our new prefects were presented pins and ties during the main proceedings on Speech Day recently. They then joined Head Master Mr Stuart McPherson for a group photograph before Mr McPherson spoke to them about their new roles as student leaders of the school.

More than 100 Year 12 students took part in the Worth Leadership Formation course, which they have to complete if they want to be considered for any positions of responsibility within the School. The aim of the course is to form students in leadership, as well as showing them how faith connects to leadership. Students can take this course even if they do not intend to apply for prefect roles.

The course includes talks from a number of external speakers and at the end of the course students have to produce a portfolio including a 1,500-word reflection on aspects of servant leadership, a cover letter and a CV.

Senior Deputy Ms Marisa Bosa said: “As always, this was a rigorous and thoughtful process, and the calibre of applicants was exceptionally high. We were truly impressed by the leadership, maturity and commitment shown by so many pupils, which made the final decisions particularly challenging.”
