Congratulations to Worth rugby player Felix Bateman-Champain who has again been included in the England U18 squad for the upcoming international series in South Africa.
Felix, who is our new Head Boy for the 2024-25 academic year, made his England debut earlier this year, winning two caps while playing in the Six Nations Festival in Italy when he was a year younger than most of his team-mates.
He has now been included in the England squad for games against Ireland, France and hosts South Africa on 12, 16 and 20 August. Georgia and South Africa A are also competing in the series.
England’s games will be held at three different school venues: at Stellenberg High School against Ireland; the famous Paarl Gimnasium against France; and at Parrl Boys High against South Africa. Each fixture will be broadcast live by SuperSport Schools.
Head coach Jonathan Pendlebury said: “What we are looking to give these young men is the experiences that will serve them well as rugby players and as people, many of whom are experiencing international age-grade rugby and travelling on a tour for the first time.
“All of us as the Men’s Pathway staff want to see them explore as players, trust their instincts and work collaboratively as team-mates. That sense of togetherness starts off the pitch and is imperative as a framework to embolden these players to do their best whilst representing England.”
