Worth’s annual Musician of the Year final was a compelling affair with three exceptionally talented musicians performing a diverse repertoire of music in front of a supportive audience.
This year’s final featured flute, viola and piano, performing music from the composers including Mozart, Widor, Schumann, Beethoven, Debussy and Chopin. Each finalist performed up to three pieces of music before pianist Franio Rdultowski was announced as the 2026 Musician of the Year.
Guest adjudicator for the evening was Oliver Tarney, an acclaimed composer, conductor and educator. Oliver is passionate about composition teaching and he offered the finalists invaluable insights into music composition in his feedback.
Mr Tarney complimented all three finalists when he said: “I have been enormously impressed.”
Worth Musician of the Year was introduced in 2019 to showcase the talent within the School. Congratulations to Franio for winning the competition and well done to all the finalists.
