Worth was delighted to host its first student-led IEA Economics Sixth Form Conference.
Organised by two students in the Worth Economics Society, Alexander Ballard and Marcos Fraser-Cabrera, this was an excellent event as three keynote speakers delivered talks in the Performing Arts Centre theatre to an audience which included Worth students as well as visiting students from Brighton College, Ardingly College and Kendrick School.
Our two main speakers were Andy Mayer, chief operating officer and energy analyst at the IEA, and Dr Kristian Niemietz, editorial director and head of political economy at the IEA. Thank you also to Worth Economics teacher Mr Mark Batsford, who stood in when our third speaker withdrew due to illness.
The day was a big success and extremely enlightening for students studying or interested in Economics.
Well done to Marcos and Alexander for their hard work in organising the conference.
