Worth estate inspires learning

It is wonderful to be able to use the fabulous Worth grounds for outdoor learning when the weather allows and last week a Year 8 Art class took advantage of the sunshine to sketch landscapes in watercolour and pencil.
Art teacher Mrs Katie Camp used the lesson to introduce En Plain Air sketching – a French phrase that means ‘in the open air’. This was in preparation for the Year 8 Art project on creating landscapes with a ‘sense of place’.
The Worth estate proved to be an inspiring environment and our pupils produced some impressive work.
