Worth is celebrating a number of success stories for pupils in A Level and IB examinations sat before Christmas, with the Science department particularly proud of results.
Following the cancellation of examinations last summer due to the coronavirus pandemic, a number of last year’s Year 13 pupils chose to sit examinations in November.
The Science department are extremely delighted to announce that pupils sitting exams performed superbly and should be congratulated on their achievements. One pupil sitting the IB Higher Level Chemistry examination scored the top level 7 grade, an outstanding achievement, adding to the excellent IB results attained by the Year 13 Chemistry pupils, all choosing to study Higher Level, with +1.7 levels of value added.
Overall the IB results were very pleasing. One pupil managed to improve his Maths and Chemistry Higher Level results and has now achieved his place at Emmanuel College, Cambridge to read Engineering in September.
