Congratulations to our Year 11 cohort of 2021 for another excellent set of exam results.
Following Tuesday’s impressive A Level results, today’s GCSE results continue an upward trend for Worth, with 42% of students graded at 8 to 9 (formerly A*) – compared to 37.6% 12 months ago – and 59% at 7 to 9 (formerly A/A*). These results are the best ever for the School since the new grading system was introduced.
Despite the challenging circumstances since the start of the pandemic, our pupils have worked extremely hard and shown tremendous resilience. 99% of pupils have achieved 9 to 4 (formerly A* to C), compared with 92% in the first year the new grading system was introduced.
Alice McNeill, Deputy Head (Academic), said: “We are delighted with another outstanding set of results. We are very proud of all pupils who are celebrating their results and very grateful to the entire academic team who followed all the processes with the utmost integrity and rigour.”
We look forward to sharing the stories of those who achieved straight nines in due course.
