Worth celebrated European Day of Languages with a number of classroom-based activities, including Year 13 students performing an extract from Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac during their French lesson.

The European Day of Languages is an initiative from the Council of Europe and has been celebrated every year since 2001 on 26 September. Some 800 million Europeans are represented in Europe’s 47 member states and all are encouraged to discover more languages at any age, as part of or alongside their studies.

The Modern Languages Department at Worth delivers the teaching of French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Italian and Russian.
