A wonderful celebration of music at Worth

Worth School

Worth’s annual Summer Concert last week was a wonderful celebration of this year’s music making at the School.

The evening, which was held in the Abbey Church, featured performances by the Concert Band, saxophone, clarinet, flute and brass ensembles, Jazz Band, Camerata, Chamber Choir and Symphony Orchestra. There was a wide range of repertoire from a suite of 16th century dances played by the Concert Band, Mozart’s Don Giovanni overture, rock and pop arrangements, film score themes including ABBA’s Dancing Queen and the Back to the Future theme tune, plus folk songs.

Our students performed superbly and it was wonderful to have the opportunity to showcase what they have achieved this year in their final concert before the end of term tour to Austria.

Thank you to everyone who attended and well done to all those who performed.

Here is a gallery of pictures taken by professional photographer Sam Stephenson. The final picture Year 13 musicians who will be leaving the School this summer.
