Work experience is an important step on a career path for any young person, helping them get a taste of professions they are interested in and enabling them to explore their own strengths and weaknesses.
At Worth we recognise the importance of a work placement, internship or shadowing, which may be while students are at school or after they have moved on to university. This can happen through students securing their own placements, through discussions with our careers team or through the School’s alumni association, Worth Society.
One of our Sixth Form students, Chris Ritchie, recently spent two days’ work experience gaining an insight into the work and life of a politician in the office of Mr Henry Smith, Member of Parliament for Crawley. Chris is pictured at Westminster with Mr Smith and his local MP Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden.
