Year 12 Chemistry students achieved some excellent results in the University of Cambridge Chemistry Challenge.
This was the first time Worth had entered this prestigious competition and both A Level and IB Diploma students took part. One student achieved a gold award, two silver and four copper.
The competition aims to stretch and challenge students interested in Chemistry and provides an excellent experience for anyone considering taking their studies further. Set by an experienced team of teachers and university chemists, it is designed to be accessible to Year 12 students but takes them significantly beyond the syllabus and encourage them to think about science in the way they would at university.
Head of Science and Head of Chemistry Mrs Andrea Kirpalani said: “We enjoyed a super success ratio. I am very proud of what these students achieved. They will also be entering the Chemistry Olympiad this academic year.”
