Students in Years 10 and 12 got the chance to practise their Spanish speaking on at educational language trip to Seville at the end of term.

The focus of the trip was for students to develop their grasp of the language by talking in Spanish as much of the time as possible, including ordering meals in restaurants. The trip also provided the opportunity to get a flavour of the Spanish culture and lifestyle.

Among the highlights, Spanish teacher Mr Ben Young gave the group a guided tour of the Grand Mosque at Cordoba, enabling them to learn more about the history of Islamic Spain; they also visited Torre del Oro, a military watchtower in Seville; and went to Plaza de Espana in Maria Luisa Park.

This was one of two language trips at the end of term for students in Years 10 and 12.
