Congratulations to Worth 1st XV rugby player Tate Williams who helped Harlequins U18s beat Bath 35-27 in the Premiership Rugby U18 Academy League on Sunday.
Tate performed well in a terrific contest as Harlequins made it three wins out of three in the competition so far. Playing at No.8, Tate had previously helped Quins beat Exeter 19-17 and Gloucester 33-29.
This has been a terrific period of time for rugby at Worth, with Felix Bateman-Champain – who is one of our 1st XV captains along with Tate – making his England U18 debut in the 2024 Six Nations Festival in Italy before going on to establish himself in the side.
The 1st XV enjoyed a terrific season in the Autumn Term, winning 13 and drawing one of their fixtures before losing their final game of the season in the quarter-finals of the National Vase.
Meanwhile, our U15A team take on St Olave’s Grammar School, Kent, in the London and South East B area final of the National Bowl on Thursday, hoping to secure a place in the national quarter-finals.
Worth also runs a girls’ rugby sevens team who impressed again at the Rosslyn Park National Rugby Sevens last year.
Well done to Tate. We are proud of your continuing achievements.
