Sixty-five Sixth Form students put their Economics knowledge to the test when they took part in the rigorous The Economics Olympiad.

This was the first time Worth had had entered this national competition which challenges students on all manner of economic theories that span well beyond the IB and A Level curriculum and covers some university study concepts.

A range of Year 12 IB and A Level Worth students took part in the online competition, competing against students from schools around the country, hoping to progress to the regional and national stages.

The Economics Olympiad is the world’s largest and fastest-growing global competition in economics for secondary school students. The competition culminates in Ancient Olympia, Greece, where the top five UK students will proudly represent their country at the International Final.

Economics is a popular subject choice for Sixth Formers at Worth.
