Worth students spent a remarkable 3,497 hours volunteering through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in the 12-month period up to 31 March 2025.
The School has received a certificate from Duke of Edinburgh’s Award chief executive Ruth Marvel OBE, thanking our students for their dedication, effort and achievement. The social value of these hours is £22,380.
Each year students at Worth take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme at either Bronze, Silver or Gold level. We are proud to have the highest achievement rate among independent schools in the South East region.
Since 31 March, our students have completed qualifying expeditions at all three levels, including the majority of Year 9 taking part in their Bronze qualifying expedition at Blacklands Farm last week.
Here are some pictures from last week’s expedition.
The total of 3,497 hours volunteering is purely for Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Each year our students get involved with a wide variety of volunteering and service opportunities.
