Students showcase creativity and teamwork

Worth School

Students showcased their creativity, teamwork and dramatic flair when they took part in the annual House Drama competition.

This year’s brief, ‘The Murder in the Whitehead Room’, invited all 10 Houses to create a thrilling and imaginative performance inspired by this mysterious theme.

Our guest judges for the evening were actors Matt Barnett and Brandon Arnold, who recently performed alongside Worth’s Head of Drama Mrs Natalie Lynch in the East Surrey Performing Arts production of Rock of Ages. They judged each performance on a range of criteria including clarity of storytelling, vocal and physical clarity of character, using the given circumstances, use of space and staging, sound and lighting.

Rutherford were declared winners on the evening for an excellent sketch, with St Catherine’s in second place and 2025 winners Chapman third. Awards were also given for: Best Actor, Best Ensemble, Best Costume, Most Creative Use of a Prop and Best Team Member.

House Drama provides an opportunity for all students in the School to get involved with acting. Here is a gallery of pictures from the evening.
