Many congratulations to the cast and production team of Electra, which took to the stage for two nights in the Performing Arts Centre at Worth last week.

Drama shows at Worth are widely considered to be outstanding and this year’s Middle School production was another fabulous effort by all.

Head Master Mr Stuart McPherson, who went to the show on Friday, described it as “exceptionally good” and performed by “a talented group of actors”. Director Mr Matthew Wellman, a Drama teacher at Worth, added: “I am very proud of the students.”

Set in the city of Argos a few years after the Trojan War, Euripides’ famous play Electra tells of a bitter struggle for justice by Electra.

This was our fourth major show of the year after Les Misérables (Senior School), Blue Stockings (Drama Scholars) and Frozen (Junior School).
