A Worth team performed superbly at last Saturday’s Model United Nations Conference with one student winning the award for best delegate in the Security Council.

MUN conferences are a simulation of the United Nations for students in schools and higher education. They provide a great opportunity to develop research skills and public speaking abilities.

There were 192 delegates from dozens of schools taking part in the MUN conference at the Lingfield College last weekend and our students, who were representing Albania, were a credit to the School.

The award for best delegate was an incredible achievement. The questions the student debated in the Security Council were: The question of the evolving situation in Ukraine; and the question of the evolving situation in Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Congratulations to the four students who took part.

Model United Nations is part of the co-curricular programme at Worth and is open to all students.
