Students return for a day of sport

It was lovely to welcome former students back on to campus last Saturday for a range of Old Worthians sports fixtures as part of our annual Welcome Festival.

The day included alumni matches against the 1st XI hockey team and 1st XII netball team, as well as an ‘older versus younger’ Old Worthians rugby match. To emphasise the importance we place in our alumni relationships, trophy presentations for all three games were incorporated this year into the main part of the festival.

Old Worthian sport is just one element of being a member of our award-winning alumni association, Worth Society. Alumni sports clubs include cricket, football, golf, netball, rugby and tennis.

The alumni association also enables former pupils and staff to stay in touch with one another for business and social networking purposes, providing careers advice, support and lifelong guidance.

Earlier this week it was announced that Worth School had won the Best of the Best Senior category for ‘Great Alumni Mentoring’ in The Week Independent Schools Guide 2024.
