The boycott of plastic jelly cups is just one of the ways our student-led Worth Environment Society is making a real difference.
Reusable blue tin cups are now in use at meal times, replacing the previously used plastic disposable cups.
Our Environment Society is dedicated to promoting responsibility and care for our environment, truly embodying the School values of stewardship and community. As well as planning an onsite conservation area and addressing ways to tackle food waste in the School’s refectory, the society is also developing collaborations with organisations such as Worth Pro-Earth, the parish’s environment society.
The Environment Society is formed of a small group of students. They are currently looking to increase numbers from across all year groups.
Today is World Environment Day, which is held annually on 5 June to encourage awareness and action for the protection of the environment.
