Well done to three Worth students who performed strongly in a unique public speaking competition designed to inspire and empower the next generation of STEM leaders.
During the recent exeat weekend, the boys travelled to Imperial College London to represent the School in ‘Speaking For Tomorrow: The Health and Earth Challenge 2025’, a competition which involved 25 teams from leading schools across the country.
Organised by SustainaPod and NeuroSpark London, this first of its kind competition offered an exciting platform for students to tackle global challenges through science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The benefits of taking part included the challenge for students to apply their knowledge to real-world problems, a chance to foster collaboration across disciplines, to develop public speaking and critical thinking skills, and to network with like-minded peers and STEM experts.
Although the Worth team did not make the final, the boys had two excellent discussions in two rounds to convince the auditorium about the necessity of governmental support in funding start-ups to inaugurate environmental protection, especially to draw out microplastic pollution as well as other health related issues. They scored an excellent 75%.
Congratulations boys for representing the School so well.
