Well done to Year 12 students who took part in our Worth in the Community Day yesterday, carrying out valuable service work to support charities and schools in the area.
Activities ranged from collecting goods at Sainsbury’s in Crawley for the Crawley Open House food bank to carrying out jobs at St John’s Church in Crawley, doing gardening on the school grounds and providing a day of sport, drama, art, music and Forest School for three visiting primary schools.
In addition, our CAFOD Young Leaders ran a car wash to raise money for CAFOD.
This was an opportunity for Year 12 students, who will be leaders in the School next year, to develop their servant hearted leadership skills. At Worth we believe it is important that we develop an education framework which fosters a social conscience and a desire to give back to society.
