It was lovely to be able to invite a group of elderly guests to Worth recently for lunch and to watch the Junior School production of Matilda the Musical. The day was arranged through our outreach programme as part of our ongoing relationship with the charity Befriended.
The charity works in Mid Sussex to end loneliness and isolation among older people. Guests from Befriended spent time eating lunch with our students before going to watch the show.
Gail Millar, chief executive of Befriended, said: “A huge thank you to Worth School for providing a very special afternoon for us all. The students who looked after us were outstanding and the students performing Matilda were incredible. Thank you for creating great memories for our Befriended ‘friends’.”
