Kind-hearted students and staff took part in a charity netball tournament last week to raise money for Mary’s Meals, one of the School’s main charities.
Organised by a student, Jessamy, this excellent event proved to be plenty of fun while also raising a good amount of money for a charity which runs programmes in 19 countries where poverty and hunger often prevent children from gaining an education. By providing children with one meal every day they attend school, the charity offers young people hope and, through education, a possible route out of poverty.
It costs £19.15 to feed a child for a whole school year and Worth has been supporting a feeding programme at the Farsee Korma Public School in Liberia since 2017.
