Congratulations to Sixth Form student Ed Green who was shortlisted and highly commended in this year’s John Locke Institute Essay Competition.
This annual competition invites students to explore a wide range of challenging and interesting questions beyond the confines of the school curriculum. Entries are judged by a panel of senior academics drawn from leading universities including Oxford and Princeton.
Ed entered into the Law category and wrote his essay on, “When, if ever, should a company be permitted to refuse to do business with a person because of that person’s public statements?”
A member of our Academic Scholars Society, Ed intends to study Law at university. He was introduced to the competition by Worth’s Head of History and Politics, Miss Sarah Clarke, while History teacher Mr Kieran Elson acted as his referee.
This is a tremendous achievement to be shortlisted and highly commended. Well done, Ed.
