Congratulations to Year 13 student Anna Partyka who has won second prize in a national science competition and will now have her work published.
Anna, who is studying Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A Level, entered the Biochemical Society’s annual Science Communication Prize competition which involves researching a topic and then creating a presentation on your chosen subject.
Each year the Biochemical Society seeks to identify and celebrate outstanding science communicators with its Science Communication Prize and judges were impressed with Anna’s entry which was titled ‘MALDI TOF – an amazing tool for microbial identification.”
Anna said: “The competition is judged by people who have worked in science so I was very happy to hear I had finished second. An added bonus is that my work now gets published.”
Well done Anna.
