St Mary’s Middle is the junior girls’ boarding house at Worth, for girls in Year 9 – 11 (ages 13- 16). There are about 50 girls in St Mary’s Middle, all full-time, not flexible, boarders.
It boasts a large and dedicated pastoral team which includes Miss Ellie Ross, Housemistress, who is supported by Miss Lizzy Longstaff (Deputy Housemistress), Mrs Caroline Burton (Boarding Tutor) and Matron Mrs Nikki Webb.
St Mary’s has a strong, friendly, family atmosphere in which each girl has the opportunity to develop a sense of belonging and identity through community, worship, hospitality and service founded in the Benedictine tradition. Every girl has a part to play: whether collecting bread or organising fundraising, every individual is a valued part of a larger community, with a caring and supportive atmosphere across all year groups.
St Mary’s, situated with beautiful views of the South Downs, offers excellent facilities for the girls with every bedroom having its own en suite bathroom. Each bedroom is for two girls. There is a modern and bright study area downstairs and a wonderfully spacious common room for the girls to socialise in.
