A remarkable 583 students represented Worth in sports fixtures during the 2025-26 academic year, playing 440 fixtures for 91 different teams.
Director of Sport Mr David Burton spoke about the increase in participation numbers compared to 12 months ago at the final assembly of the academic year. This endorses the ethos of Worth’s sports programme whereby elite athletes are supported in reaching their performance goals while enthusiastic games are also provided every opportunity to participate.
Among the highlights of another excellent term for sport were the senior golf team reaching the national finals of the Swifts Foursomes competition, our 1st XI cricketers winning the Langdale Division Two Cup, two athletes qualifying for the English Schools’ Track and Field Championships and equestrian rider Amelie de la Rosa qualifying for the NSEA National Championships national finals.
At the final assembly of the term, achievements were celebrated with the presentation of Most Valuable Player and Most Improved Player awards for athletics, cricket and tennis, as well as the presentation Colours and Half Colours which are the highest honours awarded by the School.
Here is a selection of pictures from the presentations.
Congratulations to all students who have represented the School this academic year.
