Silver lining to weekend trek

Worth School

Well done to our Year 10 pupils who took part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Silver Practice Expedition on Ashdown Forest last weekend.

Worth has a long association with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The School is a licenced DofE centre, with almost a third of pupils taking part each year participating in either the Gold, Silver or Bronze Award.

In the second half of the Summer Term, those doing the Silver Award will undertake their Qualifying Expedition on the South Downs, while Gold Award students will be heading to Dartmoor for their Qualifying Expedition. Meanwhile, all of Year 9 will be participating in the Bronze Qualifying Expedition.
