Cricket gets back underway at Worth this weekend with the 1st XI playing their first fixture of the Summer Term. Ahead of this term’s fixtures, one of our students has filmed a video showcasing cricket at Worth.
The video, filmed and edited by Year 12 student Ollie, features Head of Cricket Mr Raj Chaudhuri plus two members of the 1st XI and is created in the style of the ‘Walk the Talk’ cricket series on NDTV.
The School runs eight representative sides and two academies where the skills of elite players are developed. The programme encourages boys and girls alike to become better players and we are proud of the number of Worth players who are currently in county and representative sides. We also have excellent facilities including indoor and outdoor nets, a number of bowling machines, a nursery iand a fantastic 1st XI wicket which is used by the county.
Among the highlights of the 1st XI fixture list this term are games against an MCC XI on Sunday 2 May and Sussex Martlets on Sunday 25 April.
