Sharing a love of books

Reading for pleasure is encouraged across all year groups and it pleases us that our latest Book of the Month nomination has been recommended by a Sixth Form student but is suitable for all ages.

Our Book of the Month competition was introduced so that pupils could share a love of reading with their peers and the winning nomination for November comes from Year 12 student Laurie Smith who has recommended ‘Warp’ by Eoin Colfer.

Librarian Mrs Esmé Mustian Atkinson said: “We have both fiction and non-fiction for every kind of reader in the library at Worth. It gives me great pleasure when one of our senior pupils recommends a book that is also accessible to younger pupils in the school.”

Laurie said: “The book was an enjoyable read and I could not put it down.”

Well done Laurie for a great choice.

The library at Worth is now based in the fabulous Spencer Building, which also houses our Sixth Form Centre.
