Worth School

As part of our weekends programme this week pupils have the opportunity to go scuba diving, there is a chance to watch ice hockey and to visit an escape room, while a Chinese New Year supper is also on the menu.

Our weekends programme at work is dynamic and varied. It offers excitement and challenge, but also quiet time and an array of opportunities to support academic study. We offer something for everyone.

This weekend’s programme begins on Friday evening with Live Lounge, our termly open mic event held in the Performing Arts Centre where pupils have the opportunity to perform to their peers in a supportive environment and with professional sound and lighting design. On Friday evening there will also be a Chinese New Year supper for all pupils on campus.

Our Saturday morning programme includes a variety of activities, clubs, societies, study support classes and volunteering opportunities. Among the options are our media society titled Worth News Video Magazine, The Vesalius Society for biologists, Python Programming Club, swimming, volleyball and scuba diving which is back on our programme this weekend.

There is also a programme of representative football, hockey and netball fixtures – see more information below. Then on Saturday evening we are running a trip to watch ice hockey at Guildford Spectrum where the Guildford Flames take on Coventry Blaze.

Another trip follows on Sunday to visit escape rooms in Crawley. Escape rooms are a game where participants are locked in a room and must work together to investigate and solve the puzzles that will allow them to escape in a limited time. The weekend concludes with Mass in the Abbey Church at 8pm.

Our weekends programme is open to both boarders and day pupils and underlines our commitment to being a 7-day-a-week boarding school.
