Photography is a real strength at Worth, with the subject offered as an option at GCSE and A Level, and the School runs an annual Photo of the Week competition to showcase how talented our students are.
GCSE and A Level Photography are popular subjects but the opportunities to develop an interest in the medium are available to all pupils whether they study the subject or not. Workshops covering studio portrait photography, darkroom processing, Photoshop editing and graphics communication are popular across all years and also become a useful outlet for pupils looking to provide evidence for their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and CAS for the IB Diploma.
Our Photo of the Week competition is traditionally run in the Summer Term and our first competition this year includes 10 images which fellow students can vote on internally at the School. There is also an opportunity for anyone to vote on their favourites images via the School’s Facebook page here.
Here are a few of our Week One competition images (pictures 2-4). Please use the Facebook link for the full selection.
