It was great to be able to send a team of 11 runners to the Sussex Schools’ Cross Country Championships this week and there were some impressive performances in challenging conditions.

Each of our runners had qualified for these championships, which were held at Waterhall Playing Fields in Brighton, and they represented the School in the Junior Girls, Junior Boys, Intermediate and Senior Boys sections.

Competing for places at the English Schools’ Championship and the forthcoming South East Schools Inter-Counties event, all our runners did well. Among the highlights, in the Intermediate Boys category Alex finished 24th out of 180 runners while in the Senior Boys Tommy was 24th and Matthew was 35th.

Well done to all 11 students who represented the School.
