Our senior rugby girls performed superbly to reach the last 16 on their first ever appearance at the National Sevens at Rosslyn Park.
Girls’ rugby is relatively new to Worth but the girls have been training hard and recently reached the Plate final at their first ever competition, the Worthing Sevens.
Competing at the National Sevens last week, Worth won its first fixture 31-17 against the Samuel Whitbread Academy before losing 37-7 to group winners Llandovery College in their second match. However, this was enough to reach the Plate competition knockout stages where the girls were beaten by eventual finalists Millfield School.
Well done girls.
There is a great variety of sports to learn at Worth.
