Worth athletes competed well in the first round of the Sussex Independent Schools Diamond League including an excellent win from our Intermediate boys’ relay team.

Travelling to Eastbourne for the opening league meeting of the season, our hurdlers kicked off the day with two second places and a personal best from Melia. We had some impressive throws in both shot put and discus, including a second place throw of 28m from Matthew.

One of the highlights of the day was our rugby boys taking to the track and battling it out in the 800m.

Unfortunately, due to some less than ideal conditions, several events were called off which meant some athletes did not get to compete.

The next round of the Diamond League is at K2 Crawley this Saturday.

Here is a selection of photographs from the meeting taken by student Matthew.
