An amazing 19 records were broken at Worth’s annual Sports Day, held at the K2 Crawley, including the School’s 33-year-old 100m record.

Whether it was breaking records or simply giving their all to earn points for their Houses, our students across the year groups showed heart, courage and character amid a fabulous atmosphere.

The Inter-House Athletics Championships last Friday began with Gigi breaking the hurdles record she set a year ago and continued with a succession of hugely impressive performances including Tadhg claiming the new boys’ 100m record and one of our younger athletes, Izzy, setting new records in every event she took part in.

St Anne’s House won both the Intermediate Girls and Senior Girls trophies for a second year in succession. Rutherford won the Senior Boys competition while Gervase took the Intermediate Boys title, and Taggart were the overall Junior School winners.

The Victor Ludorum award, for the boy of the meeting, went to Tadhg and the Victrix Ludorum, for the girl athlete of the meeting, was won by Gigi.
