The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a great way to develop skills and attitudes among young people, helping them to become more rounded and confident individuals, and Worth is proud to be a directly licenced centre for the programme.

This week 80 Year 9 pupils went to Blacklands Farm for a DofE Bronze practice day where they undertook map skills, cooked on a Trangia and learnt how to put up a tent, ready for their qualifying expedition to Ashdown Forest next week.

Also next week, 15 Year 12 students will be taking part in their DofE Gold qualifying expedition.

The DofE programme remains the international gold standard in extra-curricular activity and we are delighted that entry numbers among our cohort are currently higher than they have ever been.
