Preparing students for the next step

Fri, Nov 27th, 2020
Worth School

Worth held its annual Sixth Form Information Evening last night to help prepare our Year 11 students for the next stage of their journey.

Students enjoyed a series of talks to introduce them to life in the Sixth Form, including a welcome from Head Master Mr Stuart McPherson and pre-recorded speeches by the Year 13 senior prefects. They then attended various subject presentations where they were given guidance about subject choices.

The evening began with dinner in the refectory when students were given personalised boxes with mocktails in and wristbands, and there was a candy floss maker.

Dynamic, varied and challenging, the Sixth Form at Worth offers students an education in the fullest sense. Whether a student opts for the International Baccalaureate Diploma, A Levels or a BTEC, they will be embarking on an educational programme that will prepare them effectively for university and for life.

Next week the School will be offering a Sixth Form Information Evening for current Year 11 parents plus prospective students and parents. Current and confirmed joiners please register your interest with Mrs Shoebridge: lshoebridge@worth.org.uk. Other families interested in the Sixth Form in 2021 are asked to register here.
