Eight members of the Debating Society represented the School superbly in the prestigious Oxford Schools’ Debating Competition.
Ninety-six students, representing schools from across the South East, competed over two rounds with only 12 going forward to the next stage of the competition.
Students competed in teams of two, with three of the Worth students representing the School for the first time. Although no Worth students were among the select group progressing to the next stage, they can all be proud of how they performed.
Head of English Mrs Dawn Clubb, who leads Debating at Worth, said: “Although Worth is not going to the next round, the quality of debate was excellent and our students performed better at this tough competition than ever before. I am very proud of them.”
