Olivier Award-winning actor Gerard Logan visited Worth last week to perform a one-man horror show for Year 9 pupils.
Year 9 are studying horror in Drama this term and this was an excellent opportunity to broaden their understanding of this area of theatre.
Trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where he won the Bancroft Gold Medal, Gerard Logan’s credits include leading roles in television, film, radio and classical and contemporary theatre roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he received an Olivier Award.
He is widely acknowledged as an outstanding exponent of the solo performance.
The Drama department regularly welcomes professionals to the School to give our students a range of experiences. Recently, Lizzie Bea was at Worth to work with the cast of our December Senior School production of Sister Act while last year West End director Sam Hiller came in to give students tips ahead of their performance of Les Misérables.
Actor Layton Williams, who last year was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, is another recent visitor to Worth.
