Musicians shine at Ensembles Concert

Worth’s musicians celebrated this term’s music with an excellent Ensembles Concert in the Abbey Church last Thursday.

There were performances from the Worth School Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Chamber Choir and String Quartet plus our saxophone, flute, brass and cello ensembles.

A wide repertoire of music ranged from Tchaikovsky’s ‘Marche Slave’ played by the Symphony Orchestra to Gillespie’s ‘A Night in Tunisia’ from the Jazz Band via the Doctor Who theme tune from the Concert Band.

It was lovely to see a larger than normal audience and we hope many more can join us for the Lent Term Ensembles Concert on Thursday 19 March.

Music thrives at Worth. Read more about what we offer here.
