Musicians put on a show

Wed, Apr 24th, 2024
Worth School

The talent of Worth’s musicians as solo performers was on display in the semi-final of the Worth Musician of the Year competition last Friday.

Students from various year groups in the School performed to their peers and parents in the Coleburt Room, with a range of instruments including flute, clarinet, piano and drums, and composers including Chopin, Debussy and Schumann.

The standard of performance was high once again, giving the judges a difficult decision. Four musicians now move forward to the final, where they will play a short recital in front of a guest adjudicator, who will decide on this year’s winner.

Congratulations to all who performed and we look forward to the Worth Musician of the Year final in the Whitehead Room on Friday 17 May from 7.30pm.
