Musicians perform concerts in Italy

Worth musicians showcased their talents on a European stage when they performed three open-air concerts, as well as having the honour of singing at Mass at St Anthony’s Basilica in Padua, on the Choir, Orchestra and Bands Tour to Lake Garda in Italy.

Concerts were performed at Piazza del Municipio in Garda, Villa Ducale in Dolo and Piazzetta Hans Lietzmann in Torbole. The tour concluded with the wonderful experience of singing at the beautiful St Anthony’s Basilica.

All year groups were represented on the tour and it was lovely to see so many people watching the concerts. There was also time during the trip for our students to explore the cultural cities of Venice, Verona and Padua.

Worth has a strong reputation for music and the department runs overseas tours every two years. This latest tour was both a fantastic opportunity and a fabulous experience for our musicians of all ages.

Thank you to Worth Director of Music, Mr Lewis Brito-Babapulle and Assistant Director of Music, Mr Stephen Rodwell, along with all accompanying staff, for running this trip.
