Fri, Jan 28th, 2022
Worth School

Four Worth musicians are celebrating excellent results in recent examinations.

Jessica H and Charlotte Wong both received a Distinction in their Grade 8 cello exams, Henry Byrne achieved a Merit in Grade 8 singing and Miranda Bailey was awarded a Distinction in Grade 4 singing.

Director of Music Mr Lewis Brito-Babapulle said: “Huge congratulations to all these students on some excellent results. The core philosophy of the department is the balance of inclusion with excellence. It is great to see so many of our students achieving impressive results over the last couple of years.”

Jessica took up the cello when she was seven years old and has achieved a Distinction in every practical exam she has taken on the cello. She has been inspired by watching her teacher who is a cellist for the BBC Symphony Orchestra. In November 2020, Henry secured a place in the National Youth Choir of Great Britain (Training Choir). Both Miranda and Charlotte have shown excellent progress in their time at Worth and these are excellent achievements.

Well done to all four students.

Congratulations also to students who recently took Trinity Digital Music examinations.
